Martha Hortense Baldwin, daughter of Louisa Amanda (Rose) and Henry Clay Baldwin, was born 30 Jul 1862 in Harrison Township, Blackford Co., Indiana. On 22 Jun 1882 in Neosho Co., Kansas she married John Asbury Hunt. It has been said she was a beautiful woman through and through. "Mattie", as she was called, and John had seven children: Ray, Clara, Harry, Walter, Ralph, Hazel, and Ruth. Mattie died 12 Dec 1955 at Parsons, Labette Co., Kansas.
