Son of Nathaniel Joslin and Sarah King Joslin. The family name is variously spelled Joslin, Joslyn, and Josselyn in records.

He married, first, about 1685, Sarah Howe. She was the daughter of John Howe and Elizabeth Ward Howe, and she was killed in an attack on Lancaster Jul 18,1692.

He married, second, on Dec 26,1708, Joanna Whitcomb.

He married, third, after Mar 19,1712, Hannah (Farwell) Woods, the widow of Samuel Woods Jr.

He married, fourth, after Aug 14,1739, Martha (Prescott) Wheeler, the widow of Josiah Wheeler. She died at Lancaster,MA on May 21,1748.

Children(by first marriage); Peter Joslin and three other infant children. The three children were killed in the attack on Lancaster, and son Peter was captured and killed shortly thereafter.
