SOUTH JORDAN-- Gary B. Beckstead, age 66, passed away September 19, 2000 at Jordan Valley Hospital of an internal hemorrhage.
Born June 12, 1934 in Bluffdale, Utah to Samuel Henry and Mina Smith Beckstead. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, U.S. Army. Retired truck driver Kennecott Copper Corp. He loved to spend his winters in Arizona at Lake Havasu and summers in Idaho. He loved to camp and fish and loved his dogs.
Survived by sister, Lucille Major, South Jordan; brother, Owen L. (Melba) Beckstead, Murray. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Carole B. Sorenson.
A graveside service for family and friends will be held Friday, September 22, 2000 at 3 p.m. at the South Jordan City Cemetery, 10650 So. 1055 W. At Gary's request he was cremated and no public viewing was held.
