Funeral services for Byron Allen Jenkins will be held on Saturday, Oct 16, 2004 at 1
p.m. in the Freedom LDS Church.
A viewing will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to the funeral service.
Byron Allen Jenkins, loved and respected husband, father and grandfather, passed
away peacefully on Oct 10, 2004, in Orem.
He was born on Sept 11, 1915 in Freedom to John F. and Annis Jenkins. Byron was a
rancher farmer for almost 60 years and drove a school bus for 40 years.
As a young man he also held various odd jobs. Byron was a lobing husband and father
of five boys and one daughter. Byron loved the outdoors especially hunting and
fishing. He also loved being with his family. He was a life long member of the LDS
Church.
He is survived by his wife Verna Jenkins of Orem; children Bryce (Marilyn) of
Monument, Colo.; Larry (Shirley) of Freedom; Glayd (Julie) of Spanish Fork, Utah;
Von Dee (Connie) of Freedom and Rhonda (Dallin) Lancaster of Green River.
He was preceded in death by his son Dallas (Irene) of Afton, who died in April 2004.
Funeral services were held on Oct 16, 2004, in Freedom, and he was buried in the
Freedom Cemetery.
