Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Inez Alwell Deville will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at St. John Catholic Church, Deville with Father Paul Kunnumpuram officiating. Entombment will be in St. John Mausoleum, Deville, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jason Alwell, Brad Rachal, James McDowell, Damon McDowell, James Bowen and Jason Basco. Honorary pallbearers will be her great grandchildren.
Mrs. Inez Alwell Deville, 80, of Deville, passed from this life Saturday, October 23, 2010, at Oak Haven Nursing Home, Centerpoint.
She was a member St. John Catholic Church, Deville. She was a resident training specialist at Pinecrest Developmental Center for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Eunice Belgard Alwell; brother, Louis Alwell; sister, Ruth Madere; great grandson, Daniel Jackson.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 61 years, John Henry Deville; sons, Steve Deville and wife, Bobbie and Terry Alwell and wife, Carolyn; daughter, Charolette Deville McDowell and husband, Arnold; sisters, Viola Daniels and Esther Belgard; 10 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
