State Police at Warsaw said Carrie McCormick, age 27, an employee of Meyer Farm on Royce Road, was working alone Wednesday morning, operating a bulk-feed mixing wagon powered by a tractor-trailer when she apparently became entangled in the machine and was drawn into the auger and mix mechanism
Her remains were discovered by a co-worker about 11:55 AM. Wyoming County Coroner Ralph J. Landahl pronounced her dead at the scene and police say the death was accidental.
A 1989 graduate of Attica High School, she was a member of the Saint Nicholas Church in North Java and a member of the Strykersville Bowling League.
Survivors include her parents, Thomas Patrick and Suzanne Gebel McCormick of North Java; a sister, Kellie S. of Strykersville; a brother Scott P. of Chaffee; and her fiance, James M. George of Varysburg.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 AM, on Saturday, in the Saint Nicholas Church. Her Burial will be in the Saint Nicholas Cemetery
