He was born March 30, 1917, in Rutherford County, son of the late Albert Leroy and Susan Liller Whisnant Devenny.

INTERMENT: Church cemetery
VISITATION: 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Carpenter?s Funeral Home, Cherryville; other times at the home
