She was born August 27, 1931 in Deep Valley, WV, a daughter of the late Guy and Ina Mead Wagner.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Post #46, Benwood.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Hubbard, one brother, Paul Wagner, two sisters, Sylvia Knowlton and Gladys Quay.
Surviving is her husband, John Paul Smith Sr, five children, Robert (Barbara) Hubbard of Bellaire, OH; William (Joy) Hubbard of Benwood; Bonnie (Michael) Zelic of Benwood; Bradley (Connie) Hubbard of Glen Easton, WV; John Paul "JP" Smith Jr. of Benwood; two brothers, Clarence Wagner of West Union, WV; Carl "Johnny" Sheline of Benwood; one sister, Ruth (John) Good of Alliance, OH; seven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her dog "Jake"
Friends received 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Thursday, at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 214 Marshall Street, McMechen, WV, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m.
Friday, August 1, 2008 with Rev. Eddie Wills officiating.
American Legion Auxiliary Unit #46 Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Interment in Paden Memorial Gardens, Paden City, WV.
