Eula Hammons Called by Death

Funeral services were held at 10 am Wednesday from Bridgeport Methodist church for Eula Mae Hammons, 54, of the Bar.

The Rev. J. D. Crawford officiated and interment followed at the Bridgeport cemetery. William Barnes was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Hammons died Monday in Brewster hospital following an extended illness.

She was born on February 11, 1905 at Albany, Okla., and married Charles Hammons at Grandfield, Okla., November 24, 1924. The family moved to New Mexico two years later. They lived in Colorado for ten years before coming to Bridgeport in 1941.

Mrs. Hammons was a member of the Bridgeport Bar Grange, Social Club and Rebekah Lodge.

She is survived by her husband; three sons, Dave Hammons of Brewster, Paul Hammons of Seattle and Charles Hammons of Wenatchee; seven daughters, Mrs. Cleo Abbott, Mrs. Gary Holloway and Mrs. Jack Shaw, all of Brewster, Mrs. Gordon Gleson of Wenatchee, Mrs. Richard Hart and Mrs. Virginia Lawless, both of Chelan and Mrs. Glen Davidson of Anchorage, Alaska; three sisters and two brothers in Texas and 19 grandchildren.
