Pauline Abbott, age 88, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015, with her family by her side. Pauline and her twin brother, Paul, were born to Charles and Eula Mae Hammons on September 4, 1926, in Portales, NM. Paul and Pauline were the oldest of ten children. The family moved to Washington state in 1944, settling in Bridgeport. Pauline met her husband, Cleo, in 1945, marrying him on November 24, 1945. Over the next 50 years, they grew apples in the Brewster and Chelan areas, retiring in early 2000. After retiring, they enjoyed their home on Lake Chelan.

Pauline was preceded in death by six siblings; one grandson, Jeff Morical (2002); and sons-in-law, John Clemons (2010) and Roger Robinson (2013). Pauline is survived by her husband of 69 years, Cleo; daughters, Linda of Chelan and Judy of Grants Pass, OR; two sisters, Virginia Holmes and Patricia Sullivan; and one brother, Charles Hammons. She is also survived by five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Grandma will be missed by all who loved her. May she rest in peace and comfort, free from pain.

Graveside Services for Pauline will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015, at the Bridgeport City Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at Linda’s home at 905 Boyd Road in Chelan. Food and beverages will be provided. Please just come ready to share your favorite stories of Pauline with Cleo and the family.
