Neva Turner passed away Oct. 31, 2011, at Life Care Center of Lewiston.

She was born Oct. 21, 1922, to John Morgan and Nettie (Jones) Montague, in Winchester. The family moved to Lewiston in 1928; her mother passed away the following year. She attended Whitman Elementary School in Lewiston and graduated from Lewiston High school in 1940.

One of her many jobs was a cherry packer, where she met the love of her life, Harlan L. (Toad) Turner of Clarkston. They married Aug. 1, 1942, in Lewiston.

She was an avid bowler in her younger years and won the Idaho state women's singles championship. She enjoyed watching Toad race stock cars, traveling - which included a three-month trip to Alaska - fishing, watching football, and baseball with her husband, which usually included a friendly wager and time spent with family and friends at their place in Priest Lake.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan Turner; parents John and Nettie Montague; brothers Laverne and Marion (Monty) Montague; and granddaughter Ashlee Turner.
