Former White Township School Teacher and Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Krise, Jr. Dies at Cresson Sanitarium.

Mrs. Frederic H. Beers (formerly Miss Alda Krise,) of Fallen Timber, Pa., died at the Pennsylvania State Sanitarium, Cresson, Pa., at 7 o'clock, Thursday evening, February 18th, of pulmonary tuberculosis. Mrs. And Mrs. Beers were united in marriage June 15th, 1909, and took up their residence at Fallen Timber, where Mr. Beers was employed as Rural Mail Carrier. About one year ago Mr. Beers health began to fail and although everything possible was done by local physicians, her condition was not improved and it was thought best to remove her to the Pennsylvania State Sanitarium where she could secure treatment by specialists in the hope that a cure might be affected. She was taken to the Institution on December 26th, last, and it was thought her condition was slightly improved, and the news of her death came as a shock to her relatives and friends. Her body was removed to the home of her parents on Friday evening, from which place interment was made. Alda was a kind, generous and loving disposition and was highly respected and esteemed by all who knew her. She was an active member of Fallen Timber United Brethren church and of the Women's Christian Temperance Union, of Van Ormer, who attended the funeral in a body and performed their last humble service for their co-worker in acting as flower committee. Before her marriage she was engaged for a number of years in teaching school and enjoyed a wide circle of friends in her chosen profession,. The deceased was born near Fallen Timber, August 6, 1887, and was aged 27 years, 6 months and 12 days at the time of death. Among those to mourn her loss are, a husband, a two-year-old son; her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. George Krise Jr., and the following brothers and sisters: John, Walter, Blair, Clarence, Eula and Mary, all at home. Funeral services were held Sunday Afternoon, with services in the Beaver Valley U. B. Church, Rev. Hamilton officiating, and interment in the Beaver Valley Cemetery, C. J. Troxell having charge.
