John C Krise of Fallentimber and Miss Estella C Hartley of Van Ormer were married on 21 April 1915 by Reverend Nistor, pastor of the Allegheny charge of the Methodist Church,. They were married at Rev Nistor's home in Altoona. (Altoona Mirror, April 23, 1915)

Fallen Timber-John C Krise, 80, of Fallen Timber, died in the Altoona City Hospital Thursday.
He was born Dec 19, 1883, at St Lawrence, a son of George W and Sarah Catherine [Esch] Krise.
Surviving him are his wife, the former Estella Hartley and three children: Mrs Helen Beers, Lisbon, Ohio; and Robert and Hartley, both of Fallen Timber.
He also leaves 10 grandchildren, three great- grandchildren, and two sisters: Mrs Eula Beers of Tipton and Mrs Mary Burns of Reynoldsville.
Mr Krise was preceded in death by two daughters and two sons, Mrs Hazel Beers, and John Edward and Ann Krise; a sister, Mrs Alda Beers; and three brothers, Walter F, Clarence and Blair.
Friends will be received at the Russell L Troxdell Funeral Home at Glasgtow until noon tomorrow. After that they may call at the Fisk EUB Church at Fallen Timber until 2:30 pm the hour of funeral services. The Rev Maurice Martindale will officiate and burial will be made in the Beaver Valley Cemetery.
