Religious, relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass Thursday, 11 am, at Assisi House, 600 Red Hill Rd., Aston, PA. Prayer service Thursday, 9:30 am, followed by her viewing. Interment in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
Memorial donations in her sister's name to Franciscan Ministries Foundation, 609 S. Convent Rd., Aston, PA 19014 would be appreciated.

Sister Honorata Alcarese, OSF, 101, died July 28 in Assisi House, Aston. She had been a professed member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia for 74 years.
Sister Honorata Alcarese (Rose Eleodora) was born in Baltimore, MD, where she graduated from Eastern High School and taught kindergarten at St. Vincent School before she entered the congregation in 1931.
She earned a B.S. in English from Mount St. Mary College.
She ministered primarily in elementary education. Her leisure activities included crocheting, knitting, and sewing. She made beautiful baby sets that were sold in the gift shop at Assisi House.
Sister Honorata ministered for 45 years in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, and for 14 years in Oklahoma City. She also taught in the Diocese of Wilmington and in Pensacola, FL.
In 1997 Sister Honorata retired to Queen of Peace Convent in Aston, and then to Assisi House where she served in prayer ministry until her death.
Sister Honorata is survived by nieces and nephews, and by her Franciscan family.
Services were held in Assisi House Aug. 31. Burial was in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Aston.
