Funeral services for Roy Ira Hendrix, 71, 1411 Grant St.SE, who died Tuesday at a local hospital, will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Guntharp Funeral Home Chapel, Dr. Lawrence Dill officiating, with burial in Decatur Cemetery, Guntharp directing.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Imogene Hendrix, Decatur; two sons, Roy W. Hendrix and Eugene T. Hendrix, both of Decatur; three sisters, Mrs. Nora Lane, Mrs. Jewel Mathews and Miss Eula Hendrix, all of Birmingham; a niece, Mrs. Quinton Bowers, Birmingham; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
The body will remain at the funeral home.
Mr. Hendrix was a member of Rising Sun Lodge No.29. Lodge members will serve as honorary pallbearers.
