Daughter of William Kendall Askren 1855-1933 and Rhodilla Jane Kesner Askren 1859-1904. She married Oscar Marion Flowers in Kingman, Fountain County, IN December 30, 1918, together they were the parents of 5 children: Lena Flowers Walker 1924-1983, Oscar Lemuel Flowers 1928-2000, William Lee Flowers 1930-1999, Charles Denzil Flowers 1937-1995 and Jack Flowers.

Mrs. Goldia Fay Flowers, 62, of RR 2, West Terre Haute, died at 3:05 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Oscar M.; four sons, Oscar L. and Charles D., both of West Terre Haute, William L., RR 2, West Terre Haute, and Jack D., Victory, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Lena Walker, Charleston, Ill.; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Mary Goodwin and Mrs. Madeline Edwards, both of Terre Haute, and Mrs. Marion White, Newport, Ind.; three sisters, Mrs. Mamie Allen, Kingman, Ind., Mrs. Mary Holycross, Cayuga, Ind., and Mrs. Bell Fisher, Veedersburg, Ind.; two brothers, Ott Ashren, Covington, Ind., and John Ashren, Blackwell, Okla., and 14 grandchildrn. Services will be at 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Burial will be in Snoddy cemetery near Perrysville, Ind.
