Wife of William Kendall Askren.

Rhodella Jane Kesner was born in Harrison County,IN on Nov 19, 1859 to Ephriam Kesner and Susannah Flock Kesner, she died April 11, 1903 aged 43 years, 5 months and 22 days. She united with the U. B. Church in the year of 1878, and was happily converted, obtaining a faith that never faltered. She lived a constant Christian life until death.
In the year 1880 she was married to William Askren, and to this union were born eleven children, three of whom have preceded their mother to the spirit world. Rhoda was a kind and affectionate wife, a loving and tenderhearted mother, always giving righteous counsel to both husband and children in meekness and in the spirit of our Saviour. She leaves a husband, eight children, a father, three brothers, five sisters and a host of friends to mourn her loss.
The funeral services were conducted at the home of the deceased by Revs. J. M. McHargue of Kingman and J. Newnum of Yeddo, after which the body was taken to Harveysburg for interment.
