Mrs. Arthur (Emma L) Joens, 66, died today at St. Anthony's Hospital, Michigan City.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Otis and Altar and Rosary Society, Eight and Forty Auxiliary, Westville American Legion Auxiliary, Harmony Pals, Westville Garden Club, Woman's club and served as president of the Gary Diocesan Council of Catholic Women.

She was born in Chicago, April 4, 1911 and was married Nov. 16, 1929, in Harvey, Illinois. Her Husband died in 1974.

Survivors include a son, Arthur of Michigan City; two daughters, Loretta Peters and Ellen Napier of Lancaster, California; three sisters, Ann Gatrell of Hazelcrest, Illinois, Opel Ginder of Union Grove, Wisconsin, Eleanor Markey of Chicago Heights, Illinois; a brother Melvin Gatrell of Cottonwood, Arizona; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church with the Rev. Henry Krysinski officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at Weaver Funeral Home in Westville after 7 p.m. Thursday. American Legion Auxiliary rites and rosary will be Friday.
