Willard A. Young (Wig), 65, was born March 12, 1922 in Crawford, Oklahoma to Orville Alva and Bessie McCain Young and passed away Friday, November 20, 1987 at his home following an extended illness.
.. "Wig" grew up and attended shcools and lived in the Crawford area. On November 23, 1949 he was married to Eula Mae McDaniel in Cordell, OK. He was a veteran of Korean Conflict. For 29 years he served as Postmaster for Crawford retiring January 29, 1987. Mr. Young was also a farmer and a rancher.
.. Preceding him in death were his parents, 1 sister, and 2 brothers.
.. Survivors included his wife Eula Mae of the home; 2 daughters Nyla Coogle and Rita Moler both of Crawford. 6 grandchildren, 1 brother Clair Young of Oklahoma City, 1 sister Mildred Love of Panhandle, Texas and other relvatives and friends.
.. Graveside services were conducted Sunday, November 22, 1987 in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with A.L. martin officiating. Rose Chapel Funeral service of Cheyenne was in charge of arrangements.
.. Active Pallbearers were: Former Boy Scout Troop No. 125. Charles Keahey, Larry McGlothlin, Eugene Calvert, Mark McDaniel, Terry Wayne Keahey, Ricky Powers and John Powers.
.. Honorary pallbearers were: Rex Dickason, Tom Smith, Leon Keahey, Gerald Keahey, Henry Porter,Jr., Jack McDaniel.
