Musician. Born in Osaka, Japan, he best known as the lead guitarist in David Sanborn's show band and in Paul Shaffer's band on NBC's "Late Night with David Letterman". He also played and recorded for artists Paul Simon, Chaka Khan, Sting, James Brown, Billy Joel, Barbra Streisand, Eric Clapton and Al Green. As a solo artist, his albums included "World of Collision", "From All Sides", "Carrasco", "Late Night Talk", "Color Me", Try Livin' It" and "Too Funky 2 Ignore". He died of cancer.
