Raised during the Great Depression with her only sister (Mildred Carlson), aunt (Elvira Karn), and mother. Married Gerhard P. Stegemann shortly after the war. Gave birth to three sons: Cortney, Rodney, and Karl. Breathed her final breath in the embrace of her son Rodney. Died of congestive heart failure. Buried together in the same plot with her husband, Gerhard, and eldest son, Cortney. Survived by her two sons Rodney and Karl, and her granddaughter, Erika Sue Kennedy. In attendance at her burial were Rodney, Karl, Erika, Erika's parents, and others.
