The funeral was held Tuesday, November 5, 1985 at 2 PM at National Cemetery Graveside in Memphis, TN. The Interment was held at the National Cemetery with Reverend Jim Buchanan officiating.
He leaves his wife; Mrs. Gail Barker Ashmore, Independence, MS. One son: Shawn Ashmore, Independence, MS. Three sisters: Mrs. Georgia Williams, Mrs. Faye Cloninger and Mrs. Bobbye Delk, all of Memphis. One twin brother, Mr. John Ashmore of Columbia, AL.
