Mrs. Ida May Martin of 1037 Looney died on the way to St. Joseph Hospital after having a heart attack about 10:30 last night. She was 54.
Born in Koscuiusko, MS, she had lived in Memphis 15 years. She was a Methodist. She and her husband, W. W. Martin, operated a grocery.
She leaves four daughters, Mrs. A. W. Williams of 756 Juiette, Mrs. David Cloninger of Webb, MS, Mrs. C. H. Delk of 3276 Sutton and Mrs. John Viglietti of 2633 Kenner; two sons, Air Force Sergeant John A. Ashmore of Fort Walton Beach, FL and Air Force Sergeant Willie Ashmore of Columbus, OH; two brothers, Malcolm Cummings of Drew, MS and W. Cummings of Kosciusko, MS; four sisters: Mrs. Henry Biggers of Webb, MS, Mrs. Zack Ballard of Greenwood, MS, Mrs. Ann Perrigns of Cleveland, MS and Mrs. Myrtic McKinley of Laurel, MS and 15 grandchildren.
