Mrs. Velma Woods was born on February 21, 1921 in the New Hope Community to Mr. Joe Woods and Mrs. Alice Daniels. Mrs. Velma Woods Andrews was born in the New Hope Community, and attended public schools. She was a retired dental assistant and lived in Houston, Tx. prior to retiring and moving back to East Texas in 1979. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Alice Woods .Survivors include her husband, Mr. Courtney Andrews; daughters, Erma Taylor and Sharon Andrews; and sister, Ruby Woods. Survivors Include her husband, Mr. Courtney Andrews; daughters, Erma Taylor, Tyler, and Sharon Andrews, Houston; sister, Ruby Woods; two grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
