LOUISVILLE~ Dec. 17th- Mr. George Browning died in Tonawanda, N.Y., Dec. 10, 1887, aged nearly 76 years. Mr. Browning was born in the town of Waddington, but for over thirty years has been a resident of this town, where he was well and favorably known. He attended the excursion to Rochester and went from there to Tonawanda, to visit his daughter, Mrs. A. Story, intending to spend some weeks with her but was taken sick soon after arriving and died after a few days of illness. The remains were brought home for interment.

Mr. Browning had been a member of the M.E. Church for twenty-five years, having joined it during the ministry of Rev. E. Briggs in this town, who was called to attend the funeral services and preached a very appropriate and comforting sermon to a large congregation. Barnett Browning who was called to Tonawanda, by the illness of his father, has been quite sick, since his return but is now improving.
