Died at the age of 106 year. At the time of her death she was the oldest living person in Niagara County.
She was a direct descendant of General Israel Putnam, Revolutionary War Commander.
She first married William G. Curtis. They moved to North Tonawanda in 1890.
After the death of Mr. Curtis, she married childhood neighbor, Charles J. Andrew and moved to Portland, Oregon where he was a policeman. She returned to North Tonawanda after his death after living in Portland for 10 years.
Survived by two sons, Vernon W. and H. Morton Curtis; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Amelia Browning Curtis Andrews, former Louisville resident, died on Her 106th birthday, Aug. 2, 1965, at Her home at 334 Payne Ave., North Tonawanda. The North Tonawanda newspaper write-up a year ago stated "Mrs. Andrews was observing Her 105th birthday, as quietly as possible under the circumstances, but there were a lot of telephone calls, messages and gifts delivered...that She was the oldest person in that section of the state and might be the oldest person living in the entire state of New York.
Mrs. Andrews was born on the old Browning homestead located near the present Massena Country Club on Aug. 2, 1859. The pump east of the club house was on the old Browning homestead. She had lived for many years in North Tonawanda, where Her family grew up.
Two sons by Her first marriage, supervised Her care: Vernon Curtis and Morton Curtis. During recent months, two nurses have been in attendence. Also, surviving are four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Barney and Samuel Browning, who were prominent farmers in Louisville and years ago, She often came to this section to visit them and their families. Samuel J. Browning and George Browning, Massena are nephews and Mrs. Thomas McNish, Lyn, Ontario, is a niece. All have visited Mrs. Andrews from time to time. The Brownings are descended from Israel Putnum, Revolutionary War commander. Funeral services will be held today, Thursday.
