John was the youngest son of Lithuanian immigrants William and Magdeline Grinkevich. He was born in Steger, Illinois and grew up in central Wisconsin on his family's dairy farm in the Town of Little Black. John was a happy boy and had many friends. He was 16 years old when he died unexpectedly of heart disease. In addition to his parents, his sisters, Agnes and Helen, and brothers, Joseph and Charles mourn his death.
