Harry V. Rogers, Sr.

Services for Harry V. Rogers, Sr., 69, who died suddenly at his home at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Ball-Porter Funeral Home with the Rev. Sam Boyll officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Wednesday. Euclid Lodge No. 573 F&AM will hold memorial services at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. He was retired from the Smith-Alsop Paint and Varnish Co., and was a member of Euclid Lodge No. 573 F&AM, Terre Haute Chapter No. 43 OES and the Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute. Surviving are the widow, Odessa; the mother, Mrs. Nell Rogers, Farmersburg; a son, Harry V. Jr., Terre Haute; a daughter, Miss Betty Rogers, Oxnard, Calif.; two step-sons, John and Malcolm Phillips, Terre Haute; a brother, Johnnie Rogers, Terre Haute; four sisters, Mrs. Mabel Taylor, Terre Haute, Mrs. Beulah Clark, Shelburn, Miss Ruby Rogers, Streator, Ill., and Mrs. Nellene Rogers, Joliet, Ill.; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
