Services were held on February 21, 2007 at St. Phillip Episcopal Church for Corinne Dixon Taylor. Mrs. Taylor was 113.10 years old at her death, the oldest known person in DC and one of the oldest in the world. She was the daughter of John W. Dixon and Carrie Diggs Dixon and the wife of the late John Blakey Taylor, Sr., a brickmason. She leaves three sons - John Jr., George, and Frank; great-great grandchildren, great grandchildren, grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by three other sons - Paul, Rutherford, and Wendell. Internment at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery.
