Son of Rudolph Emerson and Alice Gordon. Draftsman. Worked at Willys Overland according to draft registration card. It was also stated that he was short, slender and had grey eyes and auburn hair. Worked at Webster Manufacturing as an engineer per death certificate. He passed away at the age of 66 due to acute cardiac failure, arteriosclerotic heart disease and bronchial asthma.

Was Webster Employee For Many Years

Harley R. Emerson, 66, of 211 Wentz street, Webster Mfg., Inc., engineer, died in Mercy hospital at 10:15 a.m. today, Thursday, May 1, 1952. He was in failing health for two years.

He was born in Eden township Aug. 27, 1885, to Rudolph and Alice (Gordon) Emerson. He is survived by a brother, Lester J. Emerson, of Tiffin, and three nieces, two in New Jersey and one in Toledo. A sister and a brother are deceased.

He resided in this city most of his life but had worked in Chicago, Toronto and Toledo. He was associated with the Webster here for the past 20 years.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Chicago.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete today. The body is at the Bame funeral home.
