History - Ralf Rumel Woolley was a hydraulic engineer for the U.S. Geological Survey and a member of the July to September, 1922 that surveyed the Green River. Members of the expedition party were: Kelly W. Trimble topographic engineer and group leader; John B. jr. Reesdie. was a Washington D.C. geologist; Ralf R. Woolley was engineer and company recorder, he also photographed much of the expedition, his photographic collection is held at the Marriott Library at the University of Utah; H.L. Stone was field engineer for Utah Power and Light Company, who funded the expedition; Bert Loper was head boatman, Leigh B. Lint of Idaho & H. Elwyn Jr. Blake of Monticello, Utah both served as rodmen and boatmen, John Clogston was cook. - LisaRC
