Frances was my great-grandmother. She died when I was fairly young, but I do remember her like it was yesterday - especially at Thanksgiving and Christmas! She made the BEST Waldorf Salad on the planet - have never been able to recreate it; she must have had a secret ingredient that went with her to her grave.
I remember going to visit her with my mom and grandma in her declining years. She was a tiny (but mighty) lady and quite cantakerous in the latter years. She was a very strong woman and provided our family with many memories.
