Mrs. Elizabeth Graham Palmer, age 82, Vidalia, died Thursday, June 3, 2004, in the Bethany Nursing Center in Vidalia after a brief illness.

She was a native of Laurens County, living most of her life in Vidalia. She was a homemaker, a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and the Busy Bee Sunday School Class.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Nannette and E.L. Avery, Vidalia, Cornelia and H.G. Ridgdill, Lyons, and Sandra Horton, Oak Park; three sons and daughters-in-law, Leland and Janice Palmer, Vidalia, Ronald and Deborah Palmer, Lyons, Arnold and Debra Palmer, Vidalia; three sisters, Willie Mae King, Robertsdale, Alabama, Lois Harrell, Chauncey and Jennett Burnsed, Vidalia; three brothers, Russell Graham, Edgewater, Florida, W.L. Graham, Dublin, and Jolly Graham, Lyons; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, June 5, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. in the Tabernacle Baptist Church with Rev. Murray Ward officiating. Interment followed in Pinecrest Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Shawn Morgan, Joey Morgan, Mercer Graham, Paul Graham, Lew Graham and Dwayne Graham. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Home Builders Sunday School Class, Deacons of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, Emory Luke and Jimmy McNair.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the building find or the Missionary Fund of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, P.O. Box 160, Vidalia, GA 30475.

Murchison Funeral Home of Vidalia was in charge of the arrangements.
