Annie Mae Slaton was born on June 18,1901 in Oklahoma to William B. Slaton and Alma Lemons Slayton. She married Albert T. Monroe in Hunter,Oklahoma in Indian Territory in 1917. They had two sons, Walter & Charlie. They Divorced in 1927. Annie married Fred Chain in 1928 in Oklahoma.
They had 6 children. She died in Wichita General Hospital on December 23,1973. She was 72 years old.
Survivors are 4 Sons: Walter(Monroe)Chain, Charlie(Monroe)Chain, David Chain & Carl Chain all of Wichita Falls,Texas. Four Daughters : Jean Macrum, Mary Lee Holcomb, & Catherine Chain all of Wichita Falls, and Barbara Parish of North Carolina and Several Grandchildren! She was preceded in Death by her parents, her husband Fred Chain in 1968, and a Daughter, Valle Rue Chain in 1940. Graveside services were held at 10:00 am on December 26, 1973 under the Direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home.
Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery, Wichita Falls, Texas.
