Obituary
Mrs. Loder B. Upham
The death of Mrs. Myrtle Upham, wife of Loder B. Upham occured at an early hour Sunday morning at Thanksgiving Hospital where she had gone a few days previously to undergo an operation.
Mrs. Upham was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willis A. Bates of Scranton, Pa., and was born at Bowerstown 30 years ago. She married Mr. Upham in March 1906. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Rowland Bates Upham, age three years and Willis Delos Upham, age three months, her parents, two brothers, Lewis G. Bates of Chicago, Phillip E. Bates of Scranton and two sisters, Misses Lillian and Laura Bates of Scranton.
Mrs. Upham was a faithful member of the Baptist church and of the Philatheas. She was admired and loved by all her friends and the bereaved members of the family have the sincere sympathy of the entire community.
The funeral was held from the home of Jesse E. Reynolds at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning, the Rev. Frank S. Squyer officiating. Internment at Westville.
