John was the son of James and Elizabeth Fawcett Graham. He came from Scotland to America with his parents as a young child. He married Elizabeth Divens, and they had four children: George Divens Graham, Agnes Evelyn Graham Scott, Elizabeth Isabel Graham and Sydney Wilton Graham. John's wife died in 1876, shortly after the birth of their last child. Sydney, their youngest, died a year later. John is buried with two of his children. His wife, Elizabeth, and last son, Sydney, are buried in the old section of the cemetery.
