HARDIN ---Services for W. C. "Bill" Drake, 82, Sheridan, will be at 2 p.m., Friday in Bullis Funeral Chapel. He died Tuesday in Sheridan Memorial Hospital. He had farmed near Crow Agency until he retired in 1959 and moved to Sheridan.
The Rev. Woodrow Finger and the Rev. C. A. Bentley will officiate at the funeral. Burial with Masonic rites will be in Hardin Cemetery. Mr. Drake was born Feb. 2, 1892, in Stillwater, OK, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Hiram P. Drake. He attended Oklahoma schools. He married Maude Jones on Aug. 7, 1913, in Oklahoma.They moved to the north valley near Hardin in 1918, then to Crow Agency where he worked in railroad construction, and later farmed. Survivors include the widow of Sheridan; four sons, Ira and Howard of Hardin, Errell of Arvada, and James of Hysham; four daughters, Mrs. Dan Denny of Garryowen, Mrs. Elvin Davis of Hardin, Mrs. Opal Arvig of Sheridan and Mrs. Vic Chimienti of Spokane, a sister, Mrs. Mary Clark, Ralston, a brother, Orpha Drake, Pasco, 22 grandchildren; and 31 great grandchildren.
