Hays -- Frank Stadelman Sr., 89, Hays, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 1994, at his son's home in Ellis. Mr. Stadelman was born Aug. 10, 1905, at Hays.

He was a retired field superintendent for Woods and Staar Architects and a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Hays.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sister Caroline Stadelman; a son, James; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Eleanor of the home; two sons, George of Hays and Frank Jr. of Ellis; two daughters, Alfreda Klaus of Hill City and Ruby Klaus of Plainville; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Hays, the Revs. Paulinus Karlin and Galen Long officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Hays. A vigil will be at 7 p.m. today at Brock's North Hill Chapel, Hays.

Memorials may be made to Hays Medical Center Hospice. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today and from 8:30 a.m. until the service Friday at the chapel, 2509 Vine St., Hays 67601.
