John William Andrick, 74, well known carpenter of the Columbia Furnace Section died quite suddenly and unexpectantly of a heart attack Saturday afternoon { December 18, 1956} in the Shenandoah County Memorial Hospital at Woodstock.
On last October 23, 1955, he fell from a roof at the Blue Ridge Poultry Company dressing plant near Columbia Furnace where he was working. He suffered a fractured spine, but had responded well to treatment and surgery, and at the time he was stricken he was awaiting members of the family to come with the family car to take him home from the hospital.
Born near Columbia Furnace on February 10, 1882, the deceased was the son of Emmett and Rebecca Six Andrick. He was a member of St. Jacobs Lutheran Church near Conicville.
He also was quite active in the Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the Hunter Lodge A. F. and A. M. No. 135 of Edinburg, of the Royal Arch Chapter No. 17 of Edinburg, of the Luray Commandery No. 19, of the Blue Ridge Shrine Club and of the Acca Temple in Richmond.
He married Miss Hannah Sine who died in January 1945. Three sons, Emmett Andrick, Columbia Furnace and William and Arthur Andrick of Lorain, Ohio survive. Also a sister, Mrs. Ella Coffelt of Columbia Furnace and a brother Charles Andrick of Middletown and four grandchildren also survive.
The body is at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock. It will be removed to the late home this evening. The funeral party will gather at the late home on Tuesday afternoon, leaving at 1:45 o’clock for the Columbia Furnace Church where the services will be conducted at 2 o’clock by the Rev. S. W. Berry, pastor of the deceased of St. Jacobs Lutheran Church and the Rev. Lawrence M. Helsley of the Brethren Church.
Burial will be in the Columbia Furnace Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Ira, Roscoe, Eldred, Olin, Raymond, and Berlin Sine.
Members of the various Masonic Orders of which the deceased was a member will attend. Graveside rites will be in charge of Hunter Lodge of Edinburg.

1) Arthur Alfred Andrick buried at Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock, VA
2) Emmett Everett Andrick buried at Columbia Furnace Union Church Cemetery, Columbia Furnace,VA.
3) William Nelson "Bill" Andrick buried in the Veterans Administration, Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Sumter County, FL.
