Herman Burgener, 93 , 900 E. Scott, Olney, died Saturday at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

Services will be in the Saron United Church of Christ with Pastor Kenneth Kramer presiding. Visitation will be in the Zirkle Funeral Home. Burial will be in Saron Cemetery.

Mr. Burgener was born March 28, 1890, the son of Peter and Susan (VonAlmon) Burgener.

He married Stella Sprague Feb. 22, 1916, in West Liberty, and she preceded him in death Jun 9, 1983.

He was a member of the Saron United Church of Christ, was past chairman of the board of supervisors of Jasper County and was Fox Township Supervisor.

Survivors include three sons, Harold and Wayne, both of Olney; and Dwight, Noble; a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Juanita) Bunting, Bone Gap; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grand-children; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and an infant son.
