Mrs. W. D. (Fannie) Morehead, was born March 5, 1854 in Mississippi. She died of pneumonia at 8:30 a.m. Monday, February 24, 1936 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Marshall Lively, of Slocum. Funeral services will be held at 10 a. m Tuesday at Guiceland Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.D., in 1913. She is survived by sons, J. H. Morehead of Bryan, W. H. Morehead of Crockett, D. J. Morehead of Chambers Community, B.W. Morehead of Salmon, A.B. Morehead of Slocum; and daughters, Mrs. D. E. Leatherwood of Salmon, Mrs. W. D. Lemons of Grapeland, and Mrs. Marshall Lively of Slocum. Fannie and W.D. married in Jackson, Mississippi in 1872. They came to Texas about 1891, first settling in Bryan, About 5 years later they moved to Anderson County and made their home in Elkhart.
