She was the daughter of the late John Halbrook and Matilda Abshire Halbrook, born in Bollinger County, September 23, 1877.
Her husband, George W. Montgomery preceded her in death in 1931.
Surviving is three children, Luther Montgomery of Ontario, Calif., Elbert Montgomery and Mrs. Alma Wesley both of Elvins; eight grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one step-grandson; two step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Levi Halbrook, Rivermines, and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Elvins First Baptist Church, Tuesday, August 12, 2 p.m. p.m., Rev. Keith Huffman officiating.
Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery at Leadington.
Arrangements were by Caldwell Funeral Homes, Elvins.
