WENATCHEE _ Maurice D. Taylor, 77, a 48-year resident of Entiat, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 1992, in Central Washington Hospital, following an extended illness.
He was born June 17, 1914, to Ulysses and Stella (Dixon) Taylor, at Lafayette, Madison Co, Ohio. He moved to Clifty, Ark., in 1923.
He married Ruby Maxine Guthrie on April 6, 1936, at Clifty. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater.
They moved to Entiat in 1944, where he was an orchardist, and then he worked for 17 years at the Ardenvoir Sawmill, retiring in 1978.
Survivors include his wife, at home; three sons, Troy Taylor of Elkins, Ark., and Donald and Ron Taylor, both of East Wenatchee; three brothers, Earl Edgar Taylor of Springdale, Ark., Arthur M. Taylor of Claremore, Okla., and Glenn Shelby Taylor of Wenatchee; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister and two grandchildren.
