Esther M. Breneman, 69, died August 4, 1974 at the Labette County Medical Center in Parsons. She and her husband, W. E. Breneman, lived on a farm in Ladore township north of Parsons. She was born Sept. 21, 1904 at Galesburg, a daughter of Alvin B. and Lydia Wertz Heisey. She resided in the Galesburg-Parsons area her entire life. She attended Galesburg schools and college at Pittsburg. She taught in rural schools several years before her marriage to Breneman on Dec. 4, 1926 at Girard. Mrs. Breneman was a member of the Galesburg United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Pennywise Club, Mothers Club and Hobby Club. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Rolland and Richard, a daughter, Virginia McGuire. A brother, Alva Heisey, five sisters, Mildred Dringenberg, Edith Taylor, Ruth Schischny, Grace Klein and Lorraine Thurman. Seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, and one sister. The daughter, Arlene Graves, died Jan. 7, 1950.
