Staff Sgt. Arnold, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Arnold of Dayton, OH, was killed in action in England where he had been stationed since November 1943. He was a tail gunner and had enlisted in the Army Air Forces on 10 Aug 1942 at Fort Thomas, Newport, Kentucky. He received his training at Wright Field, Ohio, Kelly Field, Texas, and in Florida. He was a graduate of Stivers High School.
