Born May 19, 1908 in Rooseveltown , daughter of John and Mary LaClair Amo she attended a rural schoolhouse and graduated from Cornwall(Ontario) Commercial College.
A son, Dale D. died June 9, 1993. Her twin brother, George Amo and five other brothers Albert, Joseph, Johnnie, Fred and Henry Amo, and four sisters Ida Mae, Margaret, and Cora Amo and Mildred Kelly died before her.
