John Henry Amo, 81, of Rooseveltown, died on Monday (10/16/1944) in his sleep.

He was born on Sept 13, 1863 in Rooseveltown, a son of John and Mary Belair Amo, early settlers of the township of Massena. In early life he married Miss Mary LaClair of Cornwall. She died eight years ago last June.

Surviving are four sons, John Amo, Jr. of Helena; Joseph N. Amo at home; Fred Leo Amo of Rooseveltown and Albert
Amo of Massena Center; three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Mildred) Kelly, Massena and Mrs. Donald (Georgianna) Wright of Massena and Miss Cora Amo, at home; three sisters, Mrs. William (Ida) Payment, Massena; Mrs. Julia L. Kirky of Plumbrook whose husband died only last week and Mrs. Fred (Delia) can't read, Woodstock. VT.
