Anna (Kring) RuchJan. 18, 1863 ~ Aug. 4, 1941 Ravenna MI.---Anna (Kring) Ruch, 78, of Revenna MI. Passed away on Aug. 4, 1941, in her home, after a prolonged illness. She was born on Jan. 18, 1963, in Salix, PA., the daughter of Moses and Susan (Dunmyer) Kring, of Salix, PA. As a young girl, Anna spent her time playing with her brothers and sisters, romping in the fields and woods. She hated fishing. Helping her mother in the kitchen, and sowing worn and torn close, and what ever else needed to be done on the farm. In 1885, Anna left home with her older brothers, Albert and his family, and John. They had heard about cheap land opportunity's in the western states. On March 4, 1896, in Supulpa County, OK., (Indian Territory), Anna married Joseph Daniel Ruch, (1863-1940). The son of George and Mary (Landis) Ruch, of Ravenna, MI.. After their marriage, Joseph applied for 60 acre homestead in Oklahoma Territory. Together they plowed out a living as their family grew.Anna, who had found God at an early age, was a member of the LutheranChurch. Through the union of Anna and Joseph, six children were born; a son Ralph (1898-1970); and five daughters, Gertrude Susan (1896-1977), Earlie May (1900-1980+), Mary LaVina (1902-1980+), Sarah (1905-1980+), and Gladys (1912-1914). In the spring of 1941, Anna was diagnosed with Consumption, (Tuberculoses). She returned home to Pennsylvania to recover from her illness. Her illness was not improving in Pennsylvania. The family doctor told Anna to go to a more suitable climate. Anna went to Michigan, to stay with an aunt of Joseph's. On Aug. 4, 1941, in Ravenna, Michigan, Anna passes away, with Joseph by her side. Anna is laid to rest in the Ravenna Cemetery, Ravenna, MI.
