Funeral services for Mrs. Inez Beecham, 83, will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at New Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Marion Thrasher and the Rev. Billy Arnett officiating and Thompson Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. this evening at New Oak Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Beecham died Saturday, July 5, 2008, at Trinity Medical Center in Birmingham. She is survived by six daughters, Jean Fincher (Johnny) and Ann Jobson (James), Bobbi Hamlin (Wayne), Linda Zickafoose (Eddie) and Tena Clay (Gregg), all of Chinch Creek and Tricia Howell (Charles), of Rabbittown; one son, Rod Beecham (Lagatha), of Oxford; 15 grandchildren, Brenda Warren, Tiny Butler, Ronnie Fincher, Ricky Fincher, Angela Beecham, Roger Beecham, Jamie Bannister, Tracy Butler, Verona Clay, Nakita Kircus, Micki Poe, Brandy Ward, Nicholas Clay, Brittany Wilson and Danielle Zickafoose; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-
grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Johns; and three sisters, Pearl McDonald, Billie Brown and Hazel Parker, all of Chinch Creek.

Pallbearers will be Greg Clay, Rock Ward, Ron Smith, David Bannister, Roger Beecham and Wade Kircus. Mrs. Beecham was a native and resident of Calhoun County, where she was a lifelong and active member of New Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was a very loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Hoot" Beecham; a son, Jimmy Beecham; and two sisters, Velma Dickeson and Nelly Dunn. Proverbs 31:30 "Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised."
