Hamilton Nealess Hays was born in Crete, Neb., February 28, 1867 and died April 30, 1922, the result of an auto accident. At an early age he moved to Watson with his parents. He was married to Lucy E. Fleming March 29, 1900 and no children were born to the union. They moved to Fleming, Colorado in 1909, which had since been his home.

Mr. Hayes was injured in an auto accident near Crook, Colo., on April 8 and died as a result of the injuries on April 30. He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, an adopted son, Louis Hays, one sister, Mrs. Cass Hays of Watson, and one brother, Pad Hays of Auburn, Neb., and a host of friends.

The funeral was held at the Frank Hays home in Watson on Wednesday and interment was made in the cemetery at High Creek. Mr. Hays is the seventh member of the family to meet an accidental death, a fact which was remarked upon by his mother, just a short time before her death.
